Effective October 27, 2026
Privacy policy
This policy covers the crimsonwolf.llc website and the PackTutor™ app for iPhone, both run by Crimson Wolf LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company.
The short version
- No ads, and we never sell your data.
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- Your camera stays on your phone. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to send a scan report.
- You can delete your account and everything stored with it from inside the app.
What this website collects
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it has no forms or accounts. We don't collect personal information through it.
Like any website, our web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and running.
When you email us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We keep that correspondence only as long as we need it to help you, and we never sell or share it.
The PackTutor app
PackTutor is a collection app for Magic: The Gathering cards. Here's what it collects and why.
Your account
To create an account, you sign in with Apple or with an email address and a passphrase. We store your email address. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only get an Apple private relay address, not your real one. Passphrases are handled by our sign-in provider and stored only in hashed form; we can't read them.
Your library
The cards in your library, with their quantities and conditions, are stored with our database provider, Supabase, on servers in the United States (US East). That's what lets your library follow your account to a new phone. Only you can see your library.
Camera and scanning
When you scan a card, the camera frames are processed on your phone to read the card. Camera frames and photos are never uploaded, unless you choose to send a scan report.
Scan reports
If the scanner gets a card wrong, you can choose to send us a scan report. A report includes a photo of the card, the text the scanner recognized, any note you add, the app version and your iPhone model. Reports are stored privately with Supabase, are seen only by us, and are used only to improve scanning. We never send a report without you choosing to.
Card images and prices
Card details, images and prices load from Scryfall. When the app loads them, Scryfall receives the request from your phone, including your IP address, as any website would. We don't send Scryfall your account or library.
AI features (when they launch)
AI deck building and tune-ups aren't available yet. When they launch, your library and your deck notes will be sent to a third-party AI provider to build or tune a deck, and only after you agree on a consent screen in the app that names the provider. If you don't agree, nothing is sent and the rest of the app works as before. We'll update this policy, including the provider's name, before these features go live.
Purchases
Any purchases are handled by Apple. We don't receive your payment details; Apple tells us only whether you have an active purchase.
Beta testing
If you test the app through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may share crash reports and any feedback you submit with us, under Apple's own privacy policy. We use them only to fix and improve the app.
What we don't do
- We don't show ads.
- We don't sell or rent your data, or share it for advertising.
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites, and the app doesn't ask for permission to.
Who handles your data
- Supabase: sign-in, your library and scan reports (United States).
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, purchases, and TestFlight crash reports.
- Scryfall: card details, images and prices.
- An AI provider, named in the app: only once AI features launch, and only with your consent.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account, library and scan reports until you delete them. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app; that removes your account, your library and any scan reports you sent. You can also ask us to delete your data, or to tell you what we hold, by emailing contact@crimsonwolf.llc from the address on your account.
Children
The app isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll also let you know in the app.
