Terms of use
These terms cover the PackTutor™ app for iPhone, a collection app for Magic: The Gathering cards made by Crimson Wolf LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company (“we”, “us”). By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Your account
You can sign in with Apple, or with an email address and a passphrase. You're responsible for your account and for keeping your passphrase private. Tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. Deleting it removes your account, your library and any scan reports you sent us. This can't be undone.
Free features
Scanning cards, card details, prices, your library and building decks by hand are free.
Card data, images and prices come from Scryfall. They're for information only and may be wrong or out of date. Prices shown in the app aren't an offer by us or anyone else to buy or sell a card, and we aren't responsible for decisions you make based on them.
Premium (coming later)
We plan to offer optional Premium features: AI deck building and deck tune-ups, and public profiles. Premium will be sold through Apple as:
- a subscription, at $3.99 per month or $24.99 per year, or
- a one-time lifetime unlock.
Each option includes up to 50 AI deck builds or tune-ups per month. Prices are in US dollars and may differ in other countries; the App Store shows the final price before you buy.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID's subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for.
All purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies, and we can't issue them ourselves.
AI suggestions
AI deck builds and tune-ups are suggestions only. They may include cards that aren't legal in your format, that you don't own, or that just don't play well. We don't guarantee that any AI output is accurate, legal or any good. Check it before you sleeve up.
Scan reports
If the scanner gets a card wrong, you can choose to send us a scan report. A report includes a photo of the card, what the scanner read, and any note you add. You agree that we may use scan reports to improve the scanner. We never send a scan report without you choosing to send it.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- break the law using the app, or use it to harm others;
- try to access other people's accounts or data, or our systems beyond what the app allows;
- reverse engineer, overload, scrape or disrupt the app or the services it uses;
- put anything offensive, illegal or that you don't have the rights to in a scan report, note or public profile; or
- resell or redistribute the app or its data.
Our rights and yours
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's Usage Rules. The app, its design and its code belong to Crimson Wolf LLC. Your library is yours.

Ending your use
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or stop offering the app or a feature. If we stop offering Premium, we'll tell you in advance where we can, and subscription refunds will be handled through Apple.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the app will be error-free or always available, or that card data, prices, scan results or AI suggestions will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Crimson Wolf LLC isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or cards, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Apple
These terms are between you and Crimson Wolf LLC, not Apple. In particular:
- Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. That's our job.
- If the app fails to meet any warranty that applies, you can notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. Apart from that, and to the fullest extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by a failure to meet a warranty are our responsibility, not Apple's.
- Apple isn't responsible for handling any claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- If anyone claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and resolving that claim.
- You confirm that you aren't located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you aren't on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile carrier's terms.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.
